The Portsmouth Lottery is a fundraising initiative set up in 2016 by Portsmouth City Council that provides funds to local good causes that are making a difference to people in Portsmouth. Good causes, charities and not-for-profits can register to sell tickets for free, and keep 50p from every £1 ticket sold.

There is also a central fund that awards one off grants. You can read about the kind of awards we've made in our first year here:https://www.portsmouth.gov.uk/ext/news/the-portsmouth-lottery-turns-one

As well as our weekly draw - which has a top prize of £25,000 - we occasionally run superdraws, where people can win extra prizes on top of the usual ones. For the draw on Saturday 16 December, we have an extra prize - four tickets to Twinckenham to watch Harlequins play Northampton Saints on Saturday 30 December. The prize has very kindly been donated by the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth's Annual Appeal.

If you think this is something that would be of interest to your members, I've included some copy below - please feel free to share via whichever channels you think are appropriate. I've also attached some images, including a web banner and a social media tile, that you're welcome to use.

People need to buy tickets by midnight on Friday 15 December to qualify.
