Surrey won a very close game by 19 – 5, writes Girls County U18 Manager Russell Amos.

The game was stopped with only 5 minutes on the clock when one of the Hampshire front row players sustained a neck injury which resulted in an ambulance being called.

The girl concerned was taken to hospital but I am pleased to report that she only has soft tissue damage – we wish her all the best.
In a very hard fought game the play was stop/ start due to a lot of injuries.
However our girls never gave up and the coaches are hugely proud of their performance and effort shown until the end of the game.
Some girls were not necessarily playing in positions where the would normally play but gave everything they had to the team.
Despite the loss this was a great team performance and something on which we can build for the final game against Berkshire in early December.
Well done Girls !!!
