  New concussion animation for young players:A short animated film to help young players (and their parents) understand more about concussion injuries and how to manage them can be found on the RFU website  http://www.englandrugby.com/my-rugby/players/player-health/concussion-headcase/


This is the latest addition to the "Don't Be a Headcase" programme; an extensive online resource to help people prevent concussion injuries and Recognise, Remove, Recover and Return safely if an injury should happen.

This team of volunteers will have used all formats to keep players enjoying rugby.



The team of volunteers receiving this award will have worked creatively to recruit new players from different backgrounds.



We are inviting nominations of exceptional and inspirational volunteers in the following categories:


- Coaches

- Referess

- Club Volunteers

- 14-25 year olds



These volunteers will have developed fantastic facilities to transform their club environment for everyone who visits.



The winners of this award will be a volunteer team using effective and efficient club management and development, modernising the running of their club.



The award winners will have forged links with schools, colleges, universities, businesses, community groups and/or people that traditionally have had little contact with the game.



‘Try For Change’ This award will go to the person or people who have used the game as a vehicle for social change. The winner or winners will have used rugby to transform lives or communities.


 CASC update:There is now just a month left for clubs that are registered CASC’s to make a formal response to HMRC CASC unit.


 Clubs will need to respond by the 1st April 2016 to HMRC with the completed checklist or write to the unit to ask to be deregistered. 


 The CASC winter newsletter 2016 can be foundherewhich provides further information on the current issues with the CASC scheme.
