Hampshire's Joe Marchant is in the starting line-up and County team-mate Joe Batley is one of the replacements in the England Under 20s team to play Wales in the first 6 Nations Championship match on Saturday night at Parc Eirias in Colwyn Bay (kick-off 7.30pm).

Marchant (left), formerly of Winchester RFC and now with Harlequins, will play at outside centre.

Both were involved with last season's England Under 18s side which won the European Championships in Poland where they retained the title and toured South Africa in the summer.

Batley (right), who is with Gloucester Rugby, has recovered from a knee injury just in time to make the squad.

England Head Coach Jon Callard said: "Wales are a fabulous nation who love their rugby and we're excited about taking them on. We have trained well this week and have a healthy blend of experienced and new players in this squad.

"Wales are a passionate bunch and we got a good result against them last season, so they'll be keen to come out of the blocks firing. They'll be hurting from that result and wanting to prove a point, but we'll be focusing on ourselves and looking to perform as well as we can."
