Hampshire U16 'A's  15 23  Dorset & Wilts U16 'A's
A very keenly contested and exciting game of rugby in the first half with D&W going ahead with a Penalty & Hampshire responding with a fantastic 'length of the field' Try, created by Jack Bemelmans (7) and finished off by Sam Noble (14). D&W fought back with 2 more Pens. to go 5-9 up before Rowan Tosdevine finished off a short range Try for Hampshire following a period of pressure on the D&W try line. 10-9. D&W responded strongly though, with a fine Try out wide by their No.11 & a long range Conversion by their No.10. HT: 10-16.
The 2nd Half proved a hard-fought war of attrition and great defence with one Try apiece resulting. The D&W Try came from a quick lineout and strong run down the centre of the field, which took D&W close to the Hants line, and D&W finished off with some powerful running at the try line. 10-23. Hampshire never gave up, however and had a couple of close range opportunities before Forwards and Backs combined tremendously to finish of a Try by replacement 15, Jonny Maddock just before the final whistle. FT: 15-23.

Hampshire U16 'B's 26 - 36 Dorset & Wilts. 'B's
This was a very fast & furious match between two sides intent on attacking whenever, and from wherever, possible. D&W got the better of the score sheet in the first 25mins. however, and led 0-12 before Hampshire responded with a good team Try by Charlie Power (3) & Conversion by Will Pinnell (15) just before half-time finishing the half 7-12 down.
The 2nd half continued at the same pace as the first, with lots of line breaks from both sides, but it was again D&W who dominated the score sheet for the first 20mins of the half, stretching their lead to 12-29 through 2 more converted Tries and a Penalty, inter-mixed with a fine Hampshire Try from Josh Sines in the corner. The last 15mins became very exciting, however, when the Hampshire Backs really kicked in to gear getting the ball out wide & creating two great long range opportunities down the right touchline for James Richardson, who finished both with fine Tries, very skilfully beating the D&W cover. Both tries were converted by Pinnell to set up an exciting finish at 26-29. However, with Hampshire throwing everything in attack, it was D&W who finished off the scoring ending the match 26-36. Great game though.
